Over 3’s (3 years – 5 years)
A dynamic room in which the children can choose freely what activities they would like to play with (free choice). We have designated areas for the children to play in. They are; computer area, jigsaw area, home corner, music area, construction area. Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy area, communication language and literacy, creative area and quiet area.
We encourage and promote hygiene and independence within the room. The children are encouraged to put on their own coats, pour their own drink and brush their teeth after lunch.
The children enjoy outings to the library, shops and park. Within this room the children have circle time where we count, recognise names and learn the days of the week. The children also join in with the phase one of the letters and sounds which helps support language development.
